It was time for an update on our old baggage belt signs at Newman Airport. Our staff flew up in our company aircraft and replaced them all with brand new lightboxes. Email email@example.com for information on advertising in these spaces!
Kate Heptinstall - WA Billboards
Due to popular demand, WA Billboards have installed a new 3-panelled digital bank into the Departure Lounge at Newman Airport. This video wall allows the opportunity for you to connect with passengers waiting to board their flight. If you are interested in making a booking please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Presenting our newest site: WA026 | O’Connor.
This Supersite billboard was recently acquired by WA Billboards and is now available for bookings from agencies and direct clients.
Located on South Street, WA026 captures the attention of travellers heading towards Fremantle. South Street is an east-west arterial highway in the southern suburbs of Perth, and runs from Canning-Vale to the coast.

From March – June WAB paused their Top Media Buyer Award due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The advertising industry, which was hit hard, saw a significant drop in revenue as businesses curtailed their media spend and focused on surviving through restrictions.
Thankfully, as we come out the other end, businesses are once again spending money on promoting their products and services.
WA Billboards are excited to announce that the winner of the award for July-Aug is Ben McAuliffe from Initiative, followed by Debra Neve from OMD and Jemma McFarland also from Initiative.
“We would like to thank all of the agencies in WA for sticking with us through these difficult times, and especially Ben who booked an impressive regional billboard campaign in July” says WAB Director Steve Robinson.
The next round of awards will be announced at the end of October.
WE HAVE SOCIAL DISTANCING NAILED
I’m writing to let you know of some changes being implemented here at WA Billboards that may assist you as we adjust to dealing with the COVID-19 virus.
First however, I would like to say thank you to the many local agencies and clients who have maintained their bookings with us.
As a small independent operator, we don’t have the financial backing of publicly listed companies, so we must listen to our clients and be responsive and innovative in our dealings with them.
The Out of Home industry has undeniably seen a drop in audience as people work from home or curtail travel plans. Public transport in particular has suffered with users down by an estimated 60% according to ABC reporter Gian De Poloni, and traffic counts down by up to 50% as stated by Main Roads WA.
However major highways still carry significant traffic loads, especially on work days as people opt out of public transport and move to the safety of self-driving.
We have also seen an increase in cycling and e-scooter activity as people combine self-isolating and travel.
Many people in our community are facing an uncertain future as COVID-19 disrupts lives like no other event in living memory. History tells us consumers turn to trusted brands in times of crisis for quality of product and familiarity.
We are receiving feedback that clients want more flexibility around campaign costs, timings, campaign duration and production lead times to enable short-life, relevant messages to run.
Whist digital billboard options can offer that, some clients still want to have 100% of voice that only a static site can deliver.
WA Billboards have looked at how we can deliver more flexibility to our clients and have worked with our trusted suppliers to be able to offer:
Production and installation of material onto key metro Supersites within 48 to 72 hours from receipt of creative,
The ability to book sites on major highways in weekly blocks, and
Media rates adjusted to compensate for reduced traffic numbers.
We stand ready to help our WA clients through these times so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any help, advice or just want to bounce ideas around.
